I appear to have installed my wifi range extender successfully using WPS setup. I have steady green light on router link LED, also extender is listed as being connected in the routers list of connected devices, but when I try to connect any devices to the wifi extender it will not accept the password for my router. The Comcast activationof the modem was successul, but when I then hooked the router to the modem and the computer to the router via ethernet cable, the router can't find the internet and the Internet light flashes amber. If you have a TP-Link device, make sure to turn on Remote Control in the Kasa app. If you are re-linking a Harmony device, select Welcome Back on the YOUR SETTINGS HAVE BEEN RESTORED page. Then make your updates, and select Link Account.
1. The two devices must be connected to power outlets and electrical wiring which belong to the same electrical system. 2. Connect the adapter directly to the wall socket instead of a powerstrip/surge protector. Switch off the computer, router or modem before connecting the TP-link extender. The modem should be connected to the WAN port of your router with the help of an Ethernet cable. Now, associate the computer with TP-link repeater’s LAN port again with Ethernet cable. Turn on the extender and the computer.
